It's 'Freedom Day' and you're fully vaccinated in NSW.

But how do you prove it?

There's a few ways you can get your COVID-19 vaccination certificate onto your phone and there are a few different apps you'll need to navigate as the state begins to re-open.

By now you've probably already got the Service NSW app on your mobile and were using it for checking in.

If not, you'll want to download it as that's how NSW Health will let you know if a place you've checked into as a COVID-19 positive case going forward.

It's also much faster than filling out the web form.

How to get your vaccination certificate

There are a bunch of ways to get your COVID-19 vaccination certificate or immunisation history statement.

The Express Plus Medicare app, and your Medicare online account in your MyGov are the best ways though.

Fair warning - if you are yet to join your Medicare to your MyGov you'll need to do that first. And that takes a bit of doing. The steps are outlined here on the Services Australia website. You'll need to know things such as the last date you visited a doctor, the location of that practice and the name of your doctor.

There is a tool here to help you set up your online accounts if you haven't established them already.

If you've already got a MyGov account and you've linked your Medicare account to it. It's all pretty straight forward, you just need to download and set up the Medicare app on your phone.
