Coach Stuart Dew is hoping his side can channel the disappointment of the horror fade-out against a wobbly Melbourne on Saturday at Metricon Stadium.
"It was clearly frustration across the board from the players through to the coaching staff and the footy club," he said.
"But there was some really good signs early in the first half that we were able to push a top four-five team.
"Our challenge, as it has been the last month, is to replicate that first half."
Small forward Izak Rankine, who managed just seven disposals in the Gabba loss, has been cut, while Darwin product Joel Jeffrey gets a call up after a nine-goal haul in the VFL.
Melbourne, meanwhile, have kept faith in their forward line as they aim to arrest a rut that has seen them register just two wins in their past six games.
Worryingly for coach Simon Goodwin, the Demons have finished with more behinds than goals in their last five matches.
"Clearly our scoring is a topic of conversation. We'd like to score more, but we're generating shots," he said.
"I'm confident in the way we play, I'm confident in the DNA of our game, and I'm confident we'll get it right at the right time."
The Demons are handing a debut to half-back Jake Bowey, who was the No.21 pick in the 2020 draft, while Tom Sparrow has earned a call-up to the squad.
