Big crowds turned out at Nimbin at the weekend for the three day 'protestival', MardiGrass.
Highlights included the colourful Ganga Faeries march, and some robust discussions on medicinal marijuana as part of the 'Hemposium'. The 'Bring Assange' Home campaign was everywhere too, with plenty of signs and banners drawing attention to Julian Assange's plight.
There was a large police presence in town, with the overall mood pleasant, however a mobile drug testing bus set up at Goolmangar was criticised by festival goers as being about politics, rather than road safety.
